We have started our science topic by tasting different types of salad. The potato salad was very popular as was the beetroot salad.
Thank you so much for helping to raise money for comic relief.
We went outside to builds Sukkah. We only made a partial roof using materials from the ground ( plants). Jewish people believe that God will protect them.
Today we learned about the Jewish festival of Sukkot (Tabernacles) we compared it with Harvest and looked at images of people celebrating Sukkot.
We then built a Sukkah using different materials.
We have been learning about the life of Moses and how important he is. We have sequenced the story and have painted Moses parting the Red Sea.
We baked and tasted unleavened bread. We have started to write instructions that we can post, so people can try them at home.
Next week is Judaism week. We will be learning about the Jewish faith including Moses, the Passover, synagogues and Sukkot.
In English we will be making unleavened bread and writing instructions.
In maths we will be continuing with fractions and solving word problems.
